The Goat is a blog (web log for all you dinosaurs out there) that reviews outdoor gear and occasionally talks about industry happenings and athletes. This is really just an excuse for our esteemed blogger Rocky Thompson to beg for free gear, take free trips on the company’s dime, and get denied by gorgeous women well out of his league at industry parties and trade shows like ASR, SIA, OR, ISPO, and other acronymically named shows that are too cool to go by their full names. Yeah, Rocky pretty much puts it all on the line to bring you news about gear trends and the technology you’ll see next season. Mostly he makes fun of stuff. Rocky understands the need for brutal honesty when it comes to talking about equipment.
