CCP Thong Cycling Gloves
By Rocky Thompson on March 10th, 2009I’ve seen bartenders in beer tents in Wisconsin wear these things when they have to spend all day opening beer bottles for thirsty festival goers. It never occurred to me to steal a pair and wear them biking, but it’d be ideal for me since I rest my hands on top of my brake hoods the whole time I’m riding. The CCP gloves are a minimalist option that makes it easier to open beers on the ride home. And you’d basically have to steal them since the half-gloves go for $110. It’s like how women’s (or men’s, I guess) thong underwear is more expensive than the grandma-style full-coverage underwear.

These wouldn’t offer much protection when you go over the handlebars after your front wheel gets stuck in a bridge-joint. But they’d be great for brushing broken bottle glass off your tires as you ride.
They’d also be great for open-palmed slaps across the face. There’s some SWEET denim on the CCP site. When’s Cutter going to make some denim?
