Good news for skiers and lovers of great film work: Sweetgrass Productions has a few film out. Valhalla is “the tale of one man’s search to rediscover the freedom of his youth.” Doing so requires him to ski an extraordinary amount of fantastic powder and jumped around shirtless/naked. Shot in a lo-fi, 70s style, you wouldn’t know it was recent if not for all the modern gear and callouts to the sponsors. It looks like a fantastic piece.

Big mountain icon Xavier de Le Rue and TimeLine Films have a trailer out for their upcoming film White Noise. Watch it online, or don’t. You can wait for the full length version of the film that will be posted online for free in the third week of November. When good skiers land big sponsors that want marquee spots in widely seen ski films, we all win. Just make sure you set aside some time to watch all the logos during the last third of the film.

Team Dubsatch heads to Alaska for some steep, sustained pitches and deep snow. Basically, everything you’ve ever wanted out of skiing. The teaser is for their upcoming AK Our Way video, which seems to have come together at a moment’s notice when they found out they had seats on a copter in Haines but had to dash up north in less than 24 hours. There are worse ways to make movies, like “Hollow Man” for example.

The tour for Breaking Trail, Utah-based Powderwhore’s annual offering is kicking off next week. Tomorrow the tour of Teton Gravity Research’s One for the Road kicks off in, you guessed it, Teton Village, Wyoming. If you’re interested in seeing it in person on the big screen and possibly even heckling some of the riders in person instead of in the comment section on blogs, check out the tour schedule. Hopefully they bring the Sam-Elliot-sounding-guy who narrates the trailer.

Ride up the tiny tram and shred tiny lines. Last one down has to buy the first round of tiny beers. You can actually let this thing load up and watch it in HD for extra-fun tininess. It all looks so easy from way up here.
