Jay Petervary Tour Divide Record Ride

The Tour Divide race runs from Banff to New Mexico covering about 2700 miles with over 2000ft of elevation gain. Jay Petervary sets the world record for the ride in his final run on the race at just over 15 days. Petervary indulges in a sleeping bag this time around, where he logs about four hours each night between hammering on his pedals and fixing flats.

The Hardest 400m Race in the World

Of course Red Bull sponsors a footrace up the ski jump in Planica, Slovenia. It’s only a 400m race, but it took the men’s winner over five minutes to finish. The walk back down must be a bummer. That’s the problem with running or hiking. You walk back down. At least with skiing and biking you get the fun of riding down after the work of going up.

24-Hour Mountain Bike Worlds Canceled

The 24-hour Mountain Bike World Championships scheduled to take place in Alberta, Canada were canceled yesterday due to lack of people signing up to race. Iraq Helicopter Pilot Survives 50-Foot Fall During Alaska Race

North Dakota Gets Adventure Race
