K2: Siren of the Himalayas

“Walking meditation” sounds better than “walking slowly uphill while not feeling well” if you have to choose a way to describe alpinism. K2: Siren of the Himalayas is a documentary shot back in 2009 that follows the Duke of Abruzzi’s historic 1909 expedition. The film isn’t out yet, but if you donate $25 to the cause on the group’s Kickstarter page you’ll get a DVD in the mail when the film is complete. (For $5 you get mentioned on their Twitter feed!)

New England Sasquatch Thermal Research on Kickstarter

Fatbikeraft Across the Arctic

Enterprising adventurer Andrew Badenoch has set a goal of making a 7,000-mile journey across much of the Canadian and Alaskan arctic traveling by fat bike and pack raft.
