Yes, we’ve all read that going up Everest is glorified “snow march.” This helmet cam video from a while back shows a climber making his way over the Khumbu glacier. Put some railings up on those things! I’ve read so much ridiculous stuff about Everest that it’s become easy to forget how beautiful it can be. I hope they tipped their Sherpas well for putting up the ladders.

The best thing about everyone wearing these goofy cameras around on top of their helmets is the random footage they happen to capture. There was that guy who fell backwards down the chute he was setting up to ski, and now a bunch of cyclists have this one. They were out for a little road ride when a car blew past at about 80mph. He gave the riders some space, but it doesn’t look like he gave the trees on the next corner the same courtesy.
Expect to see more of these near catastrophes now that GoPro cameras are on top of everyone’s skulls. This one was shot at Mt. Baker.
