Boundary Waters Canoe Area Threatened by Two Mines

Oil Pipeline Floods Neighborhood

We’re rich! An Exxon pipeline that flooded an Arkansas neighborhood continues to be cleaned up by the giant oil company. The pipeline is capable of carrying 90k barrels of oil per day, though they haven’t announced how much leaked all over Arkansas. Opponents of the Keystone XL have latched onto the incident to use it as an example of how the pipeline will ruin our lives. Meanwhile, people who live in the affected neighborhood may never get their lawns to previous levels of perfection.

Dynamite Fishermen Destroying Reefs in Indonesia

For the past several weeks illegal commercial fishermen in the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia have been fishing with dynamite.
