Crested Butte Charges Uphill Skiers $10 Per Day

Ski Colorado’s Crested Butte all you want for $10 a day. The catch is that you have to make your way uphill yourself. Sweetgrass Productions will begin release of a new 12-part web series this March 21st. On The Road with Solitaire is a ‘making of’ their first film in two years, Solitaire, a South American backcountry skiing adventure. It looks like it will match the soulful style of their last release, Signatures. A 12-part teaser for your new film? No wonder it took 2 years to make.

Backcountry Ski Sales up 57% Last Year

Howard Weamer has been a hutkeeper in Yosemite’s backcountry for 35 years. It’s safe to say that he has achieved success in simplifying his life. During the half of the winter life he’s spent in the hut, he’s kept a journal – and some its magic has been captured in an upcoming short film. Check out the trailer.
