Backcountry.com Athlete Cody Barnhill cut together some of his greatest hits from the 2012 season, mostly riding Alta, Snowbird and some spots in British Columbia. Mission Antarctic, starring Xavier de Le Rue and Backcountry.com Athlete Renan Ozturk is underway. Xavier was in Antarctica four years ago as part of a Swatch expedition, and this time he’s bringing Renan (who only had three days of downtime following his Oman expedition) for some video/art input. The crew sailed across the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula, where they’ll spend about three weeks skiing, filming, and bobbing in the Southern Ocean on their little sailboat.

Story of the Shark’s Fin on India’s Mount Meru

Nineteen days on eight days of food, and the climb ended 100 meters from the summit. Three years later they were ready to return to Meru. This is the trailer for their upcoming film, and based on their work in the past on short videos, you know this is going to be amazing.

Erik Roner: Broken Femurs And Flying Oskars

Backcountry.com Athlete Erik Roner heads to Valdez in the latest episode of Roner Vision. He bags some great lines and skis where no one’s ever been before (except, he aptly points out, the cameraman who’s filming him). Then he takes a terrible fall and ends up in the hospital with a broken femur, but you’ll find that the guy’s spirit is incredible. Get well soon, Erik!
