Stick around for this entire video. The beginning feels like your normal wingsuit jump, but then you realize how far out he’s flying and it’s impressive. Thinking of wingsuit jumps as ‘average’ just seems inappropriate. This video went up on the prAna blog last week.
Skip to about 2:50 to get past all the stupid posturing that opens the video. Dam Boarding may lead to certain injury and be against several federal laws, but c’mon, they’re Australian federal laws. It also looks like a good bit of fun, once you get over all the nasty bacteria you pick up in the mucky stagnant water.

I finally learned how one uses ‘dinghy’ as a verb. One can also be dinghyer and go dinghying. This is an odd spoof on Red Bull culture, but it includes some very real death-defying dinghying.

Good god, how much vodka do you have to drink to think this is a good idea? Then again, the cliff drop record on skis involved landing headfirst, so this kind of jumping would probably be ‘safe’ from much higher.
I love that Red Bull convinces us to pay $3 for sweetened liquid chemically derived from corn and then they use some of that money to pay for these kinds of things. At least they’re giving a bit of the cash back to the community. In this video Valery Rozov BASE jumps a feature in Antarctica, because, well, why not? I wonder how the guys who helped him climb that feature made it down?
