The Goat

These ski masks come to us from the nightmarish McCall’s Needlework & Crafts Magazine circa 1965. Whenever I read in the paper that “two men in ski masks robbed a 7-11,” I never imagined the possibility that they would be this kind of mask. I think my daily ritual of allowing the television to blast violence into my skull through my eyes and ears would mentally and emotionally prepare me for an encounter in a dark alley with someone in a conventional, sitcom-style ski mask, but I would seriously lose my shit if some guy in one of these masks pulled out a knife.
