Nike Expands “Considered” Line

nike-considered-line

Nike launched their sustainable-minded Considered line a few years ago, but the first couple models they squeezed out looked like orthopedic brown shoes stitched together by prison laborers. Now they have plans to extend the Considered standards to the rest of their shoe line by 2011 and then the clothing line by 2015. When the first Considered offering dropped, I remember hearing that they would have a hard time expanding the line with organic cotton since if they used it for even a small percentage of their entire clothing offering, the world would have to double or triple its output of organic cotton. Anyway, they must have relaxed standards since there’s no way the Nike line won’t still be loaded with synthetics three years from now.
