Safe CheckIn Will Call the Police When Your Friends Won’t

Lying on the ground with blood pouring out of your skull? Safe CheckIn is on it. It’s like the Med Alert for elderly people confined to their homes, except that it’s for adventurers without friends. The idea is that you pay someone $6.25 a month, then tell them you’re going on a hike and you’ll check-in when you get back to your car. Then when you forget to call and check in, that person calls the police and tells them you’re dead. Maybe if you pay extra they’ll also go to your funeral.

Ah yes…more proof that anyone can be a blogger regardless of intelligence or common sense. How cute that the blogger here not only misses the point but shouts out their ignorance for the world. SafeCheckIn.com has already saved individuals out on the trial and backcountry. Some got lost, some were hurt and some were victims of crime, but ALL know the value of the service. Rather than show an arrogance to a brilliant idea why don’t you support our efforts and save a life or two. Being “cute” serves no one and only shows how shallow you are.
