Howies and Timbuk2 Collaboration Messenger Bag

howies-timbuk2

Timbuk2 is working with howies to make a limited-edition messenger bag constructed in a way that consumes the least amount of resources and will still last for ages. Timbuk2 and howeis use organic cotton, water based solution dyes, and then the normal stuff you find in Timbuk2 bags, which is certainly very durable. Not sure that nursery wallpaper design will stand the test of time since I’m already sick of looking at it after five minutes, but you have to respect the gear howies put out. The Timbuk2/Howies bag sells for $105 to $165 depending on size.

The Rasta Bag became an instant hit among the 1990 yuppie crowd, and truckloads of pre-made bags were sent to bike shops and boutiques around the country.  A few years ago Timbuk2 came full circle by offering the Build-a-Bag option on their site, and now you can do the same thing with any of their Eco fabrics.
