Buddy Board Rescue System

buddy-board-rescue

The Buddy Board is a dry erase board that you stick on the dashboard of your car to let people know how long they have to burglarize your vehicle and steal all your Hootie and the Blowfish albums. The idea is that you would put information on the Buddy Board letting people know where you were going and when you’d be back, and then when police stop by the trailhead to look for illegal campers and they find your abandoned/burglarized vehicle they’d begin a search for you. The Buddy Board costs about $20 and looks more official than the “ran out of gas” sign written on a Taco Bell wrapper, so people might even take you seriously. Not exactly as good as a personal locator beacon, but it’s better than cutting off your hand that was pinned by a boulder.
