Wasn’t This Thing on Seaquest Once?

innerspace_jumper

You don’t have to answer the question because I remember the episode where Jonathan Brandis drag-raced his homebuilt dolphin submarine. That guy was billed as the next Leonardo Dicaprio, what went wrong? I’d like to let him know that he could pick up one of the props from his old show, but since he’s a former childstar he’s likely in jail or rehab anyway.  The Innerspace Seabreacher is a submarine that uses its forward momentum and downward thrust from the wing-fins to fly two people around underwater. It would be awesome for practical jokes, but the Seabreacher’s proprietors only list their contact info instead of a price so it probably costs more than a nice Buick (which would also be great for practical jokes).

Thanks Mary

I had completely forgotten about that young heartthrob. When I hit the link and read up on him, it turns out he committed suicide in 2003. Bummer.

Jonathan Brandis is dead - he committed suicide…awkward.

Actually, if you’d read the wikipedia article you linked to, you’d notice that he’s neither in jail or rehab, but instead hung himself.

  4. Gideon Marsh Says:

The character Lucas did race a prototype ‘Stinger’ in the first season, but this is way more awesome :D D

Jonathan Bradis is actually dead, suicide in November 2003 by hanging…

  5. dan Says:

actually, he’s dead. unless that was sarcasm you were using.

  6. Freddy_H Says:

Um, in the link from his name, it says he killed himself in ‘03.

Yes, Jonathan Brandis committed suicide by hanging himself in November 2003, at his apartment buiding on Detroit Ave. He was 27. He did not leave a note but his friends said he’d been depressed because his career was in a severe slump. I was shocked when I found out several months later. It was just so tragic.

Yeah. Most of the posts here are funny in a snarky sort of way, but in this case a little research would have hopefully lead the author to more respectful writing. This is especially disappointing since a link was purposefully added to the post, even though the author obviously didn’t read it. If you’re going to cite something, you need to know what it says.

Rocky is a bad man, he should be ashamed of himself.

I hope he can sleep at night.
