The Decline and Fall of the Surf Park
After $9 million in R&D the Ron Jon Surf Park in Orlando is officially out of business before they even opened. The technology they thought to employ to pump out six waves per minute didn’t cooperate with the narrow pool’s cement walls, and the tool they used to manipulate their fake reef to change the waves seemingly had no effect. It would have been a nice way for beginners to start surfing without crowding the breaks and anyone else to get some waves between swells. Surfing Magazine has the full story of the Ron Jon pool’s death.

Good, I’m glad it sucked. Wave pool surfers are douche bags.

Wow…try reading through the comments on that article without your head exploding. Harder than surfing, I assure you.
