Denver Police Waaaaay Overreacting: Are Bikes Terrorist Tools?
Denver Police are on the offensive for the upcoming Democratic National Convention, and they need your help looking for potentially dangerous people. They ask that patriotic citizens contact the police if they’ve seeing people buying dangerous chemicals, self-taping screws, or gas masks—and then the police go on to ask for information about people stocking up on bicycles or asking about campgrounds. Apparently domestic terrorists prefer large bikes (tall bikes, too?) that can be used to block traffic to slow emergency response.
Bikes are tools of peace and better living—though so are assault rifles, I’m sure a lot of people would argue. Of course, wanting to ride a bike and shoot an assault rifle (not at the same time) likely make me seem like a pretty dangerous person.

I’ll be watching the news for reports of the predicted 20-30,000 protesters wielding self-tapping screws and PVC pipes. That’s what I reach for when I’ve got a point that needs to be made violently.
The Denver Police must be hiring TSA flunkies.

Yeah, complete over re-action. Ever hear of Oklahoma City or Twin Towers? Couldn’t happen in Denver…..naaaaaw. Recently in San Diego a couple of loser locals threw a home made bomb in front of the Federal Building causing quite a bit of damage. It was at night so luckily there were no injuries. If crap ever does hit the fan people will scream for the cops and snivel that they didn’t do enough. They can’t win.

Denver is where the DEMOCRATIC National Convention is being held. They need to get their protestor profiles correct. Herbal crunchy bike riders will be protesting in St. Paul, MN not Denver. They need to retool those posters to be on the look out for Charton Heston’s Silver Bullet Brigade and people swinging Bibles around (perhaps hollowed out ala Shawshenk Redemption).
The scene outside the RNC is going to be sweet. T-Paw and Norm! can sit on it and spin for allowing the elephants into my state.

Um, yeah, liberals would never protect the DNC, because the democrats have done so much good with their current majority… um, oh yeah, they’ve done nothing… I’m sure this was targeting Codepink, who made use of pink bicycles in protest of the continued bipartisan support of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The mostly middle-aged, mostly female “terrorists”, which, like “communist”, eventually loses meaning and refers to anyone who stands in the way of US corporate interests.
