Lawson’s Blue Ridge Camping Hammock
You wake up with a spider in your bivy a couple times and those hammock tents look a lot less uncomfortable and awkward. The Lawson Blue Ridge Hammock Tent is like sleeping on air except that the air is under a tarp that you hang from two suitably spaced trees you find at your campsite. The Blue Ridge Tent Hammock costs $140 and weighs about 4 pounds, but think about all the weight you’ll save by not carrying tent stakes. The biggest problem with this thing is getting in and out is a bit of work, so going to the bathroom in the middle of the night’s a hassle. They should put a port on the side so you can just hang it out and fire clear of the campsite.
