Arc’teryx Mistral Bag

The splitting and selling of the Arc’teryx brand is being kicked up a notch for 2009. What used to be a carefully controlled line of gear developed and tested over several seasons—a line that offered elegant solutions to outdoor problems through simple, clever designs—is now pushing out a big batch of gear to turn some profit on a popular logo. It’s the same story you’ve seen from every brand that took on investors or sold to a larger company. Not that these aren’t going to be nice daypacks for standing in the rain waiting for a bus, and every company has the right to capitalize on its logo and get some extra cash for investors or their employees—this just means you can’t count on everything produced with that Arc’teryx logo quite the way you used to.

that is sad, when brands become liquidated they often lose a core audience - it is only a matter of time before we see urban house moms rocking arc’teryx bag - like north face fleece
