Arc’teryx Aerobic Workout in 2009

Escala-Skorts

I was running through the park about a month ago and heard some rustling in the bushes. It put me on edge since I was new to the neighborhood, and I dismissed my jumpiness as unfamiliarity with the new park. A split second later, a girl in jeans and a tank top burst out of the woods, passed me (I’d been running for awhile, seriously, I was tired), and kept going at top speed toward the street. The jeans and tank top looked fairly normal given the circumstances, but I’m not sure how I would have felt if she was wearing the new Arc’teryx Escala Skorts. I’m not much of a critique of women’s fashion, but the only women’s clothing article I dislike more than overalls is the Skort. I don’t know why; I guess because it impedes the imaginative process that comes with seeing skirts. Anyway, Arc’teryx is selling this Escala Skort next spring for $69; it’s for running.

What park are you running in where a runner in jeans looks normal?

  2. Andy Says:

It always sucks when you are running in the park to pick up girls and you can’ keep up with any of them.

  3. Lyn Says:

Seriously worry about your imagination if a skort impedes the process, stick to reading magazines!

skorts are super in. This month of runners world has a article about the skort, with a skort runner on the cover. (talks about what people like and don’t like about the style)
This is going to be a killer skort also.
the fabrics are great, the lines on it are great also.
anyone who is anyone is making a style of skort now.
Nice to be able to feel feminine while out running…some people like it, others don’t.
to each person their own style.

Are you considering it a skort just because it comes with “spankies” or is it actually a true skort where you can lift one part or from the back it is actually shorts. As Milly said the runnin’ ladies are all gaga over running skirts now. Being a man, I haven’t had the opertunity (nor the desire) to try one out–though I guess I could grab one of those Mountain Hardwear outdoor kilt things to give it a whirl, but unfortunately I don’t have nearly the beard growing ability necessary to rock a kilt.

By the way, if a woman came bursting out of the woods near me in street clothes and proceeded to blow my preverbial doors off, I’d be tensing myself to tackle the rapist who was most likely to appear next. Rocky you must either live in a super shiney happy suburb to not have raised an eyebrow, that or you don’t watch nearly as much Law and Order as I do…
