New Garmin GPS Line Leaked
Remember when having a GPS meant that you were a special breed of geeky backcountry person? Normal outdoorsy people never had them—only the guys who worked in engineering departments during the weekdays. Now that the name Garmin is inseparable from rental cars or finding nearby strip malls, and it’s almost odd to see a new line of handhelds. The Oregon 200 and 400 will come with 3-inch displays and feature things like sunlight-readable touch screens and wireless exchange of routes, tracks, and waypoints with other handhelds. They’ll look like the old Garmin Colorado and cost $450-600.
