Surf Gangs Not Like They Are in Blue Crush

The point of contention here is whether a surf gang loosely organized by geographical boundaries can be tried as a gang. Tried for what? Beating another surfer to death in his mom’s driveway after the guy talked to some girl at a bar. The defense says it was a tragic and mistaken death, while prosecution claims the Bird Rock Bandits meet California penal requirements to be tried as a gang and suffer so called multipliers to their sentence for a gang-related killing. Either way, an ugly story that looks more like over-privileged kids from the country club getting out of hand after a night at the bar. I hope the gang related charges stick.

I came across this story a few months ago right after the kid died. To say that this is sad is an understatement. The kid that was killed was a pro surfer…if I remember correctly. All these dudes should burn. They have been tormenting their community for years and the cops were never able to do anything. Hell the kids parents were never able to do anything.

I’ve been threatened and chased out of Windansea (the surf break these guys claim as their own) several times. These guys are a bunch of pricks. I hope they get locked up for a long time…

I hate losers who think they own the ocean especially when they hang out in groups which is actually a sign of cowardice.

I say dipped em in a big vat of pig blood and dropped over board in the surf they claim to own, Lets see how long they can hold off the great whites, That fat kid closest to the camera looks an awful lot like a elephant seal anyway. Oh and their posture will get a lot worst if they get locked up, hell fresh meet like this, they will be luck if they can stand up strait after a few weeks of lock up.

It’s odd when you think about it. The stereotype for surfers is all chillax and mellow. The stereotype for bass fishermen is more good ol’ boy America F%$# Yeah!, and yet you don’t here about the Lake Millacs Goon squad chasing out rival fishing boats.
Someone needs to make a Blue Crush sequel that crossed Fast and the Furious with Great Outdoors…..
