Tomac DB10 1991 Replica Mountain Bike
The Tomac brand of bikes is back, which is a sure sign that mountain biking is in need of a new hero. Naming road bikes after Eddie Merckx is one thing—but can’t we find a new mountain biker to rally around? At least they’re making a replica of Tomac’s winning bike from the 1991 World Championships, where he managed to make the hip new sport of mountain biking dorky by adding some drop bars to his bike. These days the look is actually kind of cool. I want to borrow one of these things and use it to run over a dainty track bike. Not sure where I’ll borrow it since only 10 were made.
