Maori Taonga “Tramp Stamp Tattoo” Necklace for Kayaking
It’d be easy to make fun of the guy who makes Maori Taonga for his business, the way he spells “catalogue,” his earthy nature, height, or devotion to an ancient art that I would likely put on par with underwater basket weaving. Instead I’m going to let him off the hook since he wrote to me and said he’s trying to sell these things to avoid getting a real job where they’d make him cut his hair. Hey, if your necklace business doesn’t work out, I’d suggest a job at a health food store or juice bar—those places love to employee people with long hair and the music is generally pleasant. The pendants evoke some ancient war god who promises to make you safe on the water. I’ve pretty much pissed him off with this blog post, so I can’t expect it to work.

I actually went with (part time) raft guide instead of a Juice Bar (though I’ll keep it in mind), and I’m not the least bit pissed off by this blog post.
Rocky, thanks for the publicity and let me know if you’d like a free necklace
