That Didn’t Take Long: Nau Going Out of Business

nau-store

Oh man. It turns out that focusing exclusively on community building and web buzz while ignoring company profits was a bad idea. (Kind of like websites backing the late 90s.) Nau, the sustainable clothing company that was supposed to be the new Patagonia is closing its doors after only about a year of business. Their official statement says they’re shutting down is the result of a poor economy and investors not willing to take a risk on their company, but the good news is that all their stuff is on sale for 50% off. Selling earthy clothes to crunchy white people seemed like such a good idea at the time, sorry it didn’t work out guys.
