Giant Stingray Makes Swimming in Lakes More Exciting

giant-stingray

After combing remote rivers in Southeast Asia for weeks, biologist Zeb Hogan pulled this 14-foot-long giant stingray out of the river with help from some local fishermen. They recorded some data on what could possibly be the biggest freshwater fish in the world, and then hung out while it gave birth to some giant baby stingrays. “Fourteen-foot-long giant stingray” might be redundant, and “giant baby stingrays” might be an oxymoron, but either way you wouldn’t be stoked to see one while wading in the river.
