Surfboard Coffins for Airline Travel

silence-case-7

Everyone’s had a bad experience with airline travel and luggage, but I don’t think that our best course of action is to try to injure luggage throwers with insanely heavy surfboard cases. Elias Reitz of Silence Cases makes these art-house teak cases that can fit up to two boards with glass-on fins. They weigh about 70 pounds when loaded with two boards, so remember to bring a credit card with a high enough limit to cover the overweight baggage surcharge. They’re an approved size for most airlines, and Silence Cases custom makes them for each order.
