Euros Begin Reef Project

artificial reef

The Brits began filling some massive sandbags on the sea floor this week to build what will be Europe’s first artificial reef. The reef is made from geotextile bags along the Boscombe seafront in Dorset, which will produce waves up to 13 feet high. This will be the first artificial reef in the northern hemisphere, but the US is working on one, too—and you can bet the US one will break on the right side.
