Lindsey Vonn: Race Conditions Caused My Injury

The world’s finest female skier has stepped forward to say that race course conditions led to the horrible crash that landed her in the operating room. She skied her practice run at 8am then stood waiting with the rest of the field to compete until 3:15, by which time she said conditions had undergone a drastic change. The crash, she says was caused by her flying father off a jump than any of the previous skiers and hitting soft snow, “My right ski completely stopped as I landed, and my knee buckled. I flew over the tops of my skis. That loose snow was 100 percent the reason I crashed.” After the crash she said she called her coach and told him they should immediately stop the contest. They did not, and the course director defends his decision: “There were no problems with the visibility, and the course was also in good shape. So I don’t see that any outside factors played a role in this accident.”

If my dad flew off a jump on the curse I was racing I’d fall too.

For those that think she sounds like sour grapes, which i know there are a few of out there. She is one of the greatest skiiers out there at the moment and i think her knowledge of the course would be superior to the race director. He was thinking of the money and she was thinking of her peers.
