Canadian Mounties Patrol Slopes for Reefer
By Steve Casimiro on February 25th, 2013
So much for the land of tolerance. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Alberta are mounting up – on snowboards, with the sole purpose of catching pot-smoking skiers and boarders at Lake Louise and Nakiska. “It’s going to deter people from bringing narcotics or have that second look of doing something on the ski hill because they know there is going to be a police presence,” said RCMP Cpl. Jeff Campbell, the detachment commander in Lake Louise. Uh-huh. The cops are all volunteers – I bet they are — who will patrol on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. One skier at Lake Louise said, “I would think that more recklessness comes from people coming in and drinking at lunch time and then going back out…I feel like the chairlift is my time to smoke reefer.” Indeed. Um, pot is not a narcotic.
All cops suck period. They are all sisters of the string.
