The World's Oldest Marathon Runner Fauja Singh Prepares Ahead Of The Edinburgh Marathon

Following next month’s Hong Kong Marathon, Fauja “The Turbaned Tornado” Singh will retire from marathoning, an activity he took up at the age of 89. He says he still plans to run about four hours a day, just not competitively anymore. Over the years Singh has run eight marathons, mostly in London but also Toronto and New York. He attributes his longevity to regular exercise and a healthy diet. I’m assuming he also derives great strength by shaming much younger people telling them he’s 101 and runs marathons.
