Terrible Ski Jump in Japan
By Rocky Thompson on January 21st, 2013You assume the worst when you hear “ski jump mishap.” In front of his hometown crowd, Japanese jumper Daiko Ito slipped off the bar at the top of the jump and helplessly clawed at the ramp on his way down. Someone stopped him before flying off the end, but the bad news for him is that the jump counted. It might go down as the worst in history. And on top of that, it cost him a chance to place at the ski jump World Cup.
