Litter Leads to Poaching Conviction

A Wyoming game warden found a discarded Monster energy drink can and a tin of chewing tobacco left next to a headless deer carcass. The animal had been harvested illegally and the head removed for a trophy. In spite of the can of Monster Rehab, the poachers still didn’t want to carry the entire animal out. The game warden went to nearby convenience stores until he found a place that sold that specific energy drink and chewing tobacco, and betting that they were bought together early in the morning, he watched a bit of tape to find his two suspects. Turns out the duo had paid with a credit card, so tracking them down was fairly easy. Kids, don’t poach deer. And if you do, then definitely don’t litter.
