Days before his 90^th birthday, Fred Beckey roped up with two climbers and sent the 3-pitch 5.6 route Tranquility at Joshua Tree. I suspect this is a record of some kind, and based on how granular and annoying Guinness Book is, I suspect he could get his name in the book. “His body may have been weakened by age, but he can still move fluidly and thoughtlessly, like he’s been doing it for 70+ years!”

A dose of Thursday inspiration. Hopefully we’ll all be so lucky.
