Ortovox is conducting a preventative recall of their new 3 Plus Beacon because it seems that some of them can revert back to transmit mode after two minutes in search mode. The beacon has a motion sensor designed to switch from search to transmit if the beacon goes still because it would assume that the searcher had been caught and buried in a secondary slide. You can enter your serial number at the Ortovix site to see if your model is among those recalled.
