Colorado Ski Resorts Have No Plans to Embrace Marijuana Legalization

By Rocky Thompson on December 19th, 2012

But what did you expect? Ski resorts are parts of massive corporations, and they already face monumental liability issues. Plus the gray area that this “legalization” lives in isn’t exactly something you can build a tourist campaign around. That said, I’m sure life will go on in Colorado as it has for ages, with lots of people smoking and no one caring. It’s more likely that Drug Free Workplace rules and the Colorado Ski Safety Act will be strengthened since the passing of Amendment 64, though hopefully it’ll also mean fewer cops standing at the top of the gondola smelling each lift as skiers exit it.
