Fugitive in Eco-Arson Case Turns Herself In

By Rocky Thompson on December 5th, 2012

After 10 years on the lam, Canadian Rebecca Jeanette Rubin turned herself in to authorities. For a decade she topped the most-wanted lists of eco-terrorists, charged with 20 acts of arson from 1996 to 2001, including setting a fire that destroyed buildings at Vail ski area in 1997. She was one of the three remaining outlaws after ten other members of their group turned themselves in back in 2007. Those ten received prison terms from three to 13 years. Now, I’m no law scientist, but when does the statue of limitations expire on arson?

Write a comment…Now that she’s done running from the law, she can shave off her mustache disguise.
