Poachers Botch Deer Hit
By Rocky Thompson on November 29th, 2012Police in Sacramento received several phone calls about a blood-spattered SUV dripping blood from its backdoor. They tracked down the car and pulled it over, only to discover a poached deer in the backseat and blood covering the inside of the vehicle. It seems the duo of would-be poachers shot the deer and loaded it into the car, but the animal regained consciousness while they were driving so they stabbed it until it stopped kicking. In the process they were covered in blood as was the inside of their car. They were charged with violating hunting, poaching, and animal cruelty laws. The thrill of the hunt turns mob-hit-gone-wrong.
