June Mountain to Re-Open Next Season

By Michael Frank on November 7th, 2012

It’s still not clear precisely how, or even what June Mountain will be like when it re-opens for the 2013-14 winter season, CEO Rusty Gregory said Monday, but it will be back in business, and will still be owned by Mammoth Mountain. What is known is that the ski area that shut down last summer after a disastrous 2011-12 snowless winter will be targeted at learners and families and that Gregory wants to include input from the community. That’d be Mammoth Lakes, which itself had to declare bankruptcy earlier this year. And apparently, at least as of now, any deal with Mountain Riders Alliance is off the table. Via Mammoth Times.
