In honor of their 75^th anniversary, Alta has teamed up with Wasatch Brewing to create an anniversary ale. Their blog post making the announcement says that in 1878, of the 47 businesses listed in the Alta directory 26 were saloons. Times change, huh? I have high hopes for Utah and their liquor laws. Perhaps by the 100^th anniversary it will be the hub of saloons once again.
