National Geographic has rolled out their annual “Adventurer of the Year” feature where they ask the public to choose a winner. Backcountry.com Athlete Renan Ozturk is among the finalists, but he’s up against a guy who jumped out of a space capsule and broke the sound barrier while skydiving. That’s stiff competition. It also doesn’t help that Ozturk was identified as an “artist” while everyone else is affiliated with some sort of adventurous sport. Vote here, it might be the second most important vote you cast all week.
