Teton Pass Ski Area Will Open This Season
By Steve Casimiro on October 19th, 2012
It was a sad season last year for Montana skiers, not just because of the lousy snow but because the small little hill of Teton Pass didn’t open. The resort has been as inconsistent as Southwest powder — closed in 90-10, open in 10-11, closed in 11-12 — but will be open for the 2012-13 season on December 14, weather permitting. The ski area was purchased in 2010 by Kiwi Nick Wood, who spent $1.8 million upgrading the lodge and chair and adding a couple surface lifts. Like many small, rural resorts, if it doesn’t open, the locals don’t ski, so this is very good news. Via Great Falls Tribune.
