Millionaire Gay Dads Stranded Atop Land Rover
By Steve Casimiro on October 12th, 2012
Oh, man. Sometimes you can’t make this stuff up, even if you’re a writer for Modern Family. A flamboyant, rich gay couple in England became stranded on the roof of their Land Rover when they drove into a puddle that turned out to be a flooded ford. Tony and Barrie Drewitt-Barlow were the first same-sex couple to have a child by a surrogate mother; the two were on their way from Essex Fashion Week when they became stuck in the water and had to be rescued by paramedics. “I truly thought I was going to die,” said 42-year-old Barrie. “I was soaking wet and my £900 Prada shoes were completely wrecked…Tony said I did it on purpose because I want a Bentley, but it was a horrible experience and I’m having nightmares about it.” Um, yeahhhh.
