Cheyne Lempe put together this amazing video that wouldn’t be a good idea for seizure-prone people to watch; it’s about the first ascent of a massive climb in Patagonia. They went 6561 feet up the northwest ridge of Aguja Mermoz into the north pillar of Cerro Fitz Roy, one of the longest routes on El Chalten. Perhaps most impressive, they found time to shoot a lot of great film on the way.

Can anyone confirm this as a first Patagonian ascent wearing hipster glasses? Fucking amazing. Good written piece from Cheyne in most recent Alpinist too.

That starts nothing like Cold. ;)
