Monday, April 30th, 2012

In Telluride, the Forest Service wants the skiing to stop when the lifts do. And that doesn’t sit too well with locals, who say that a USFS decision to close the mountain for spring post-season maintenance and fall preseason work is unnecessary. Hit-and-Run Driver Caught on Helmet Cam

Monday, April 30th, 2012

The absolute best aspect of the amount of GoPros out there is the random stuff they capture that otherwise would have never been seen on video. Take, for example, this video of a cyclist getting hit by a car that doesn’t bother to stop. (Skip to about 2:40 in the video.) Well the accident is deeply troubling, at least it’s on video. Both of the riders will be okay, and you can find a small amount of joy in learning that the police were able to identify the car and driver based on the video. Now let’s just make sure the driver goes to jail for this hit-and-run.

Monday, April 30th, 2012

The dolphin that meandered into Bolsa Chica wetlands in Southern California looked like it was about the return to the ocean when it was scared by a pod, presumably its own. Beer Specific Sunglasses from Brewsees

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Are you so incapable of opening a beer that you’d wear idiotic-looking sunglasses? That’s the notion behind Brewsees sunglasses. At least they’re not as bad as Reef’s Fanning Sandal that has the bottle opener built into the bottom, perfect for opening your beverage after walking through a puddle in the men’s room. I have an [ more... ]
