Utah Senate Passes Resolution to Push Interconnect Between Park City and Salt Lake Resorts

By Rocky Thompson on February 22nd, 2012

Don’t worry, it’s non-binding. But the Utah Senate has cast their lot with the resorts and against the conservationists who argue that selling National Park land to the resorts is a poor use of public land. A study on the effects of the lift that would run from Park City to Big Cottonwood Canyon is ongoing. The resolution doesn’t specify what kind of interconnect should be built, so who knows, maybe they’re pushing for a massive 12 lane highway.
