An app developed and sold by the Marine Conservation Science Institute lets you track great white sharks that have been tagged. The system only tracks tagged fish close enough to the surface of the water, plus you have to get lucky and have a satellite overhead when they get near. My point is - don’t conduct your performance art piece where you bathe in blood before jumping in the ocean based solely on this data. The app is more about raising awareness about protecting sharks as well as raising money to further research and conservation projects.
