Colorado Hunters Suing National Forest Service Over Motorized Vehicle Access

By Rocky Thompson on December 22nd, 2011

The Colorado chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is suing the National Forest Service over their decision to allow motorized vehicles on 14 miles of trails in the Rico-West Dolores travel-management area. The vehicles in question are motorcycles that now have access to a section. The hunters claim that no one bothered to check on the impact that motorcycles would have on the big-game-rich area. I love it when I’m on the side of the people who are carrying the guns.

    BCHA rocks!
We need more people who believe in two-heel-drive. Aside from those with honest disabilities, there is no place for motorized vehicles in the backcountry.
