What Dole Bananas Has in Common With Pot Growers

The giant corporation has been illegally planting its product in a national park — in this case, Sri Lanka’s Somawathiya National Park. The company destroyed forest and habitat for the endangered Sri Lankan elephant, which number 400 to 500 individuals. The company at first denied it, then said it didn’t know where the land was in relation to the park, and then, finally, when confronted with Google Earth photos and the threat of a lawsuit, agreed to stop the operation while admitting no guilt.
